I sang Ecumenical Hora at the most recent singaround. The lyrics were written by Murray Porath, the tune is that of Hava Nagila. The version I sang went Ave, Maria; Ave, Maria; Ave, Maria; Allahu Akbar! Ave, Maria; Ave, Maria; Ave, Maria; Allahu Akbar! Nearer my God to Thee, nearer my God to Thee. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war. Nearer my God to Thee, nearer my God to Thee. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war. Hare! Hare Krishna! Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare, Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama, Rama, Hare, Hare, Allelu! Allelu! Kyrie Eleison, Ommmmmmmm. I don't know where I found these lyrics. Possibly on one of the Usenet newsgroups rec.music.folk or rec.music.filk, could be 30 years ago. Track 17 of https://archive.org/details/filk_ovff_concert_1 is Murray Porath singing it at the 1984 Ohio Valley Filk Festival concert, but with very different lyrics from what I've posted here.
