Just posted by Steve Roud on the Tradsong (Traditional Song Forum, TSF) mailing list. "Sad news that Peter Wood, one of our friends and colleagues, has died, after a long illness. Many people will have known him on the folk scene as a singer and musician, and he has been a firm supporter of the TSF since its inception. He wrote three important books, 'The Green Linnet' (on Napoleonic songs),' The Elliotts of Birtley' and 'Johnny Handle: Life and Soul' and numerous articles, and gave presentations at our meetings and conferences. He was a good man, and will be missed." I have no further information.
