this is very sad- Pete was a lovely bloke & a marching pal from Durham Miners'Gala for years. I met him first when we were residents at Rod & Danny Stradling's club at the Fighting Cocks in Kingston on Thames, in the late sixties. I flogged him my Wheatstone concertina when I left to head north again in 1970- £45 I think! I was surprised to find him years later as a stalwart of the North East folk scene & member of the High Level Ranters. A knowledgeable and musically tolerant man who will be a great loss- commiserations to his nearest & dearest. RIP old friend
