Twitter is not a public space or organisation which Musk is trying to influence, like Trump's attempts to influence the Republican party. Musk owns Twitter - or at least he is the controlling shareholder. He can do what he likes with it. Leaving is the only way people can influence it. If he has his way, and people put up with it, then he wins. Why would anyone have a 'important archive' on Twitter? It's a micro-blogging site. (Dämmerung has two 'm's, btw.)
