SRS, I take back everything that I said. I read an article complaining of exactly what you say – themed, rather than random answers to Wordle puzzles. Apparently, the NY Times appointed a Wordle Editor on November 7 and, since then, topical words have been appearing. In fact, her very first word was BEGIN. That was followed by MEDAL on November 11. As I am in the UK, Thanksgiving doesn’t appear on my radar, so words related to it passed me by. Perhaps PRIME was, in fact, related to Black Friday, despite my doubt. DC
