How about the various transportation songs? The convicted persons may have only committed what would nowadays be regarded as very minor crimes, and often committed in desperation, in an attempt to avoid starvation but got sent to Australia for their sins. Perhaps unjust sentences rather than unjust convictions. Van Diemen’s Land (Ye Gallant Poachers) Jamie Raeburn Fields of Athenry…..to name but a few.
