This is from a Facebook group I'm a member of, and it's got me curious... Years ago I had a mix tape that included an unaccompanied male singer performing a song with the following text: Said go to town and get you a widder said I don't need no widder now Just a pick and a shovel and a hoe and a plow Suit you better than a widder now. He went to the fence and he peeked in Said the wheat and the grass went up to his chin Glory be to God the way it grew so high It caused that young man's corn to die Does anyone here recognize it? I'd love to find that recording again but my searches have been fruitless. Thanks!
