Just Re the previous post and above, two prion/BSE types:

Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD) –– both hereditary and transmissible.
Variant Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (nCJD) –– transmissible (blood & tissue products.)

The latter was the third modern plague to hit the world blood supply (after Hep-C & HIV.)
