I love those “curiously strong” mints, too. My husband introduced me to them; easily sedated by long-haul driving, he used them to shock himself back to awareness, and we always had a couple of tins in the glove box. I don’t doze on the road like Edmund, but the mints are still a fixture. Sunshine in Stratford this morning, but the puddle around the furnace is reaching for pond-like proportions. I know what I’m doing after church. More rain in the forecast all the way to Thursday. My back gets tired just thinking about it.
