Steve, I will bow to your better knowledge about the origin of the quote. Not unlike Uncle Fred to borrow a good line. As a Brighton and Hove Albion fan for the past 60 years I have only a fleeting remembrance of Bill Shankly as Brighton was wallowing in the lower regions of the football league at the time. But hey times have changed now.
