Thanks to you all. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who likes this song, even if it does play a bit with history. I'm thinking of doing it at our next singers circle in honor of Texas Independence Day of March 2. And Yes, I'm that old, too. My older brother and I combined our resources to buy all the Kingston Trio first several albums.

Does anyone happen to know the history of the song itself? Like who is Jane Bowers?
