Bugsy Tech: Guitar pickup recommendations? (13) RE: Tech: Guitar pickup reccomendations? 22 May 23

I saw one of these pickups advertised by Swamp Industries in Australia for AUS$79.95.

I thought it wasn't a lot to lose if the product was crap, so ordered one.
I was surprised by the quality of the product when I received it. It had a piezoelectric pickup That fits under the saddle and a built in condenser mike in the main body.
I had it fitted to my Yamaha FG-340T and was impressed by the quality of the sound from my little Kustom amp.

on the strength of that, I bought 2 more and fitted them in my Daion-L9 and my Maton 325. The Maton had a passive BAGS pickup fitted so I dispensed with piezoelectric pickup supplied and connected the unit to the BAGS. When I plugged in and played, it nearly blew my head off! so loud and clear!

Ive used them at gigs and have had glowing reports of the sound quality from these GUITTO pickups.

they fit into the sound hole and run off 2 button batteries, which seem to last quite a long time and are easily replaced without having to slacken or remove any strings.

I'd heartily recommend this product to anyone looking to electrify their "special" acoustic guitar. No drilling needed.
