GUEST,henryp Any August Songs? (248* d) RE: Any August Songs? 28 Aug 23

28 August On this day in 1963, black civil rights leader Martin Luther King made his famous “I have a dream...” speech to a rally of 200,000 people in Washington.

ABRAHAM, MARTIN AND JOHN is a 1968 song written by Dick Holler. The song itself is a tribute to the memory of four assassinated Americans, all icons of social change: Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and Robert F. Kennedy. It was written in response to the assassination of King and that of Robert Kennedy in April and June 1968, respectively. Wikipedia
