Just heard (on More Or Less, on Radio 4): The Grauniad lived down to its reputation the other day, du grosse. In an article about the Sun, they said it consists of about 1057 atoms; the number should have been 10⁵⁷, which is 54 orders of magnitude larger. Moral: Make things (in this case, formatting) as simple as possible, *but no simpler*.
