I've had good luck with the Fishman Matrix, I think its called the gold series, semi-active, with the 9V battery. For an external preamp I use the Fisman Pro-EQ. The combination of these two components works great. This stuff was pretty stste of the art a few years back, but there's probably a lot better available now. I have a friend who swears by the LL Baggs blender system--both condenser mic and under-saddle. Enjoy the new axe!
