Maybe MaJoC, or maybe it is all that volcanic verbal lava trying to bubble up and out of his mouth and he, for once in his life, thinking that maybe it would be a better strategic, self-preservation plan not to let it out.

If I was a betting person, I'd bet that the primal urge to talk will overtake even the urge for self preservation.
