Former US president Donald Trump faces new developments in Georgia election subversion case, defamation lawsuit

"Former US president Donald Trump's legal predicaments seem to be gaining momentum ahead of his 2024 electoral run.

"Amid a slew of new developments, Mr Trump has announced during a radio interview he is willing to testify in his classified documents case.

"The case, which alleges Mr Trump mishandled classified documents at his Mar-A-Lago resort after he left office, is scheduled to begin in May.

"'I look forward to testifying,' Mr Trump told the conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.

"He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and accused prosecutors of targeting him for political purposes.

"While the claim sounds promising, Mr Trump has a history of showing a willingness to testify in investigations, only to back-pedal later."


It's a long article but in the light of the last statement I quoted from it, we'll just have to wait and see whether he does actually testify.
