In Oz, there have been occasions where the polling indicates a likely result and the opposite result occurs. In some cases I think that the polling helps some voters to think more clearly about their voting intentions, and possibly sways them into a different path than originally they intended. We are poised to find out one of those results in a week or so. I have my fingers and toes crossed that the current polling results are not the final outcome on that issue.
