There are leaders of annihilation like Hitler and Stalin etc. Then there are leaders who must respond to said annihilation. There is the annihilation of Jews by Muslims. The American Indian wars sought annihilation of the many tribes. Conquistadors did the same. Total annihilation is seldom accomplished.
The only race/culture that was totally annihilated was the Tasmanians by the British.
