”I heard it on a CD by a Brit names Connolly, who might have written Fiddler's Green, but was definitely from that part of the UK”

John Connolly, of the old fishing-town of Grimsby, North Lincolnshire, is indeed the writer of ‘Fiddler’s Green’ and co-writer of ‘Byard’s Leap’ with Bill Meek (who sadly passed away recently - RIP). John is very much a local legend, a great writer and performer, a very funny guy, and an all-round nice fella.
