I love to sing this song, because I've heated my house with wood for the last 20 years. But this year I bought a mini-split, and now I'm a little embarrassed to sing this song anymore.

Vikki Appleton Fielden wrote a couple verses to soothe my guilt:

Joe is used to chopping wood
All that effort does you good
But his heart has slowed a bit
So he's bought a mini split

Joe's not sure that it's allowed
He's no longer feeling proud
It's OK Joe, feel no shame
