The last time I saw John was at the birthday of his friend Kit Cooper on a boat down the Thames. I remember he used to perform at the Unity Theatre back in the 60’s together with Kit and Ronnie Baugh. Dan Butler another friend reminds me of John whenever we meet, we sing one of his favourite songs ‘If wasn’t for the houses in between’ He was a ‘one off’ and a legend in his lifetime. My condolences to all his family and many friends. RIP John
