Fisherman's Friends, naturally, see some ships, and the Tannahill Weavers provide a hogmanay essential. Steeleye Span pay tribute to the king of birds, and Paul Brady and Andy Irvine sing a classic song set on a Christmas morning. We hear a poem read by John Tams and a song recorded by Sufjan Stevens as a Christmas gift to his family. The Chieftains and Elvis Costello paint a picture of Boxing Day excess that some might recognise...
