My father had coincidences follow him around throughout his life. During the war he had a sudden posting to London to attend a course. He got someone to get him a ticket for a concert, any classical music concert, for the evening he arrived. He took his seat in the concert but the two seats in front of him were empty. Just as the concert was about to start a couple scurried in and took their places. My father leaned forward and tapped his brother on the shoulder, "Cutting it a bit fine weren't you?". Neither knew that the other was in London, neither had made long term plans to attend the concert, neither had booked the seats, and they were one in front of the other. Robin
