Not snowed in yet, but not for lack of trying; there’s more than a foot of snow on the patio table and flurries in the forecast every day for the foreseeable future. I think the snow shovel is a bit big for young Logan, and my walk isn’t worth more than fifty cents. A guy with a self-propelled snowblower clears my driveway — best $700 (for the whole winter!) I spend in any year. I’m not bothering with holiday decorations, with just myself and the cats to please, and I’ll be heading down the road to Windsor on Christmas Day anyway, weather permitting. I’m sure I’ll get my fill of baubles and tinsel at the in-laws’ place. If the weather doesn’t permit, I’ll open a bottle of decent wine and grill a steak. The cats enjoy hovering over my plate and pretending they like steak.
