We're having proper winter today: high of -10 degrees Celsius with snow squall warnings that the radar map makes as close to inevitable as snow squall warnings can be. I must take the two-step ladder down to the basement so I can close the valve to the outside faucet. It hasn't frozen on me yet, but I'm not giving it a chance to try. I put on my new size 10 flannel-lined jeans and found them about a size too big. Fortunately, I now possess a belt that fits. This morning in the locker room I was informed that I have lost enough weight. Well, yeah, I have -- not that I'm exactly used to it yet.
