As a female mandolin player, I admit that I began playing it because it is a smaller instrumen than the guitar and therefore far easier to get my tiny feminine fingers around the fretboard. Naturally, I feel my 'mysterious feminine allure' is dramatically enhanced, just like the article says! - Or maybe it was - 20 years ago when I took it up!
