I am gutted. John was a truly magnificent singer and musician, and a huge inspiration to so many, including myself. What a tremendous 80th birthday concert he gave at Old Songs last May! And on a personal note, I cherish the memory of his kind and generous direct feedback in the zoom chat box in response to my own performances. RTim's comments above sure ring so very true. RIP John.
