Peter "Pee Wee" Blowers 1941-2024

Many thanks, Richard, for posting that. I think I met you and your wife at Pete's funeral on 24th January.
He was indeed a special gentleman and a fine musician. I have been lucky enough to have known him for about 65 years and have had the pleasure of playing with him in three bands.
First was the Ridge Road Ramblers. Then Terrapin Station who, amongst other venues, did gigs, at folk clubs in Battersea, Wimbledon, Hampton Wick, Weybridge and Dorking.
Finally DPN+1 - we played several canal/narrowboat events, mainly at Braunston and Walsall, but also at the Caversham Folk Festival.
In this line-up we made three successful CDs, two of them devoted to canal/narrowboat songs.
Pete played accordion, clarinet and flute, but his number one instrument was the chromatic harmonica. I am sure he could have become a successful professional musician, but he was happy enough in his day job in the Swiss Bank.
I did not see him a lot after the pandemic, but now I miss him and his music more than ever.
