Do the whispers mention poisoning? which leads me on to what may or may not have been a Dave Allen sketch: The king receives a goblet of wine, and hands it to his poison-taster. The taster sips it, nods, and hands it back. The king takes a swallow. "April fool!" says the taster, and falls backwards, grinning happily.
