GUEST,.gargoyle Origins: The Ballad of Aimee McPherson (18) RE: Lyr Add: The Ballad of Aimee McPherson 11 Apr 25

Radio Commission in 1927. Herbert Hoover was the Commerce secretary from 1921 until 1928. In a section of his memoirs, published in 1952, he recounted an anecdote about a telegram which was said to have been sent by McPherson, which was quoted as saying "Please order your minions of Satan to leave my station alone. You cannot expect the Almighty to abide by your wavelength nonsense. When I offer my prayers to Him I must fit into His wave reception. Open this station at once."

Some question the validity, but, Hoover used it in two separate book publications.

(I was in a live stage production where the lines were used and they became implanted in my brain...forever more.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

It MUST be true ... It was written by a US presdent.
