We all have witnessed the underground cesspool containing the internet of hate. It is fueled by those who have little or no compassion in their psyche. The step-by-step march toward the dehumanization of an individual, group, or genre is pushed forward by those without compassion. This lack of decency can be found on the playground, but in adults, it is immensely more destructive. Some people can not experience compassion, but 75% of people can. Identifying the megalomaniac, narcissist, or social psychopath early is the best defense against their unbridled hate. Concentrating those without compassion in government, law enforcement or volunteers to carry out illegal orders is how the holocaust became normalized to those who thought of themselves as superhuman.

For decades I have reminded those who listen that a descent into absolute hate happens step by step yet surprisingly quickly and is long lasting. It is spread by shouting but grows in silence.
