I think that, as well as the sock dragon, every house has a boggart - a Yorkshire term for a mischievous spirit who steals and hides things for the hell of it - that's why they sometimes reappear exactly where you have already looked ten times. We have one that is partial to borrowing my son's Tamagochi - unfortunately it usually turns up again after a while. Kit Kat
