Regarding our airports, they are using the best 1980 technology.
They actually have used eBay to find replacement parts.
They are 3,000 controllers short of the minimum safety standard and cannot train more for three or four years.
Delay is what saves the day for now but total outages are increasing.
Only Alaska is still using floppy disks to drive its computers.

The FAA does not have a sufficient budget to upgrade to current standards. Perhaps the military could sacrifice a few bombs to help our domestic flight systems.
