A Collings OO-2E (E stands for the Engleman top) was probably the best fingerstyle guitar I've owned sound-wise but it was custom made for the original owner with a deep-V neck profile and it was 1 13/16" at the nut. It sounded so good when I tried it that I convinced myself I'd get used to the neck but after a year or so I never did, it wore out my left hand. I did sell it for a decent profit though. Now the more I play my M-36 Martin the more I'm convinced it's the best all-around acoustic I've owned.
