While watching the video of Trump with Ramaphosa, I noticed the new gold gilded designs all over the walls and fireplace, but central to all that silliness is a large toy airplane of Air Force 1. Paintings on the wall feature President Andrew Jackson who was directly responsible for the Trail of Tears, a forced relocation of Native American tribes from the southeastern United States to lands west of the Mississippi River. Jackson's policies, including the Indian Removal Act, and his actions as president led to the brutal displacement of the Cherokee and other tribes, resulting in a devastating journey where thousands died. Trump has explained that next to Jackson's portrait is Monroe, famous for the Monroe doc, uh doc, document.
