Communism, as a euphemism for totalitarianism, has been responsible for some of the worst wastes of all time, starting with blood and bone, and extending to things like dikes, dams, and factories. I'm not going to get into an argument online in this day and age over whether it was worth starving millions of Ukrainians over getting state ownership of their farms, suffice it to say that while ants have the most efficient societies known on earth, and are arguably its dominant species, humans make poor ants.
