Martin Guitar Owners Group Ross Wylde's Facebook post 2025 I’m helping folksinger Ellen Stekert find her lost 1955 Martin 00-21, which was effectively stolen from her in 2008 in Minneapolis, MN, when she gave it to her friend as collateral for a $2,000 loan. When Ellen came back with the money after two weeks, the person had sold the guitar. Her parents bought this guitar for her new in 1956. She recorded all of her albums with it. Serial number: 150342 Identifying marks: “ELLEN STEKERT” carved into one of the cross struts. Her social security number is also carved into neck heel. This guitar has been played and recorded on by Dave Van Ronk and other folk legends. Would appreciate if folks kept their eye out.
