Since moving into this house with its generous double garage, I have given myself permission to accumulate empty cardboard boxes. That habit must stop! Whatever house I find in Ottawa, I can pretty well guarantee that it won’t have a double garage or any other space where I can stockpile boxes “just in case”.

Tony is due back in about half an hour to sand the fresh plaster downstairs and put the baseboards on. The landscapers should be back to re-assemble the patio, but I haven’t heard from them and there’s rain in the forecast for today — 60% chance, with donner und blitzen. So much fun.

I did not start the day with an attempt to cough up a lung, so I’m going to pool class. Wish me luck.
