Ah my old and late lamented mate Hector, we were regulars/residents at a club in Surbiton many many moons ago. I agree with Joe's asessment of his singing, he had a lovely voice, I remember he joined me in a rendition of Paxton's Every Time, and he sung a beautiful harmony, lifting the whole performance to a new level. Apart from myself all that gang have passed away and it's sad to look back and remember those days. When that club closed down I started going to the Fighting Cocks in Kingston, where I first met the aforementioned Alan & Carol Prior, hope to see them again soon at Cullerlie traditional singing weekend 25th July weekend.
