The Electric Look Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe did not age well and along somewhat similar lines Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson. Some Thomas Mcguane from that era holds up well though, like 92 in the Shade and The Bushwhacked Piano.
