A nanny feature on my car is a damnable nuisance. This is the parking assist, the alarm that goes off when the vehicle manoeuvres close enough to another solid object to risk contact. The sensor goes mad in a snowstorm, especially when — not if — it gets covered with frozen wet stuff. I think the VW designers live in the tropics.
