Good luck sorting the house, Charmion. If you get this one you described, is it empty and ready to move into, and on the schedule dictated by your house sale?

A personable young man from the insurance company poked in the attic, walked around the roof, poked in the garage attic, and I think I am ok for now, don't need a roof quite yet. The damage is documented and if in the fall it starts leaking after wood under shingles swells, we'll revisit the question. I put on heavy duty shingles for a reason, so if I can get a few more years out of it, that's fine.

Of no interest to the insurance company but of interest to this young man is the creek at the back of the yard, so I walked him back for a look. There are fish in it, bass and sunnys, and access is easy. I don't fish, but I could (I'd have to release them, fish in urban creeks are for sport only.) He apparently has taken up fishing in the last year (and saw my father's old rods on the wall in the garage.)

Of course I got a look at my house through his eyes and it is a mess. Must work on that.

The last of the cat sitting runs are this afternoon, I'm ready to put this behind me.
