I'm trying to work out the lyrics of this song from the 1966 album "A Wench a Whale and a Pint of Good Ale". It differs from the three versions on Mudcat. I cannot decipher some words in verse 5. When I have them all, I will publish the whole song here. The lyrics I am uncertain of are surrounded by square brackets. Well [it's] I’ll put on me boots now and I’ll take up me pack I’ll put away me violin and swing it on me back I’m gonna take me leave now, and swagger on me way [For here’s adieu] to the banks of The Roses. /Martin
