In 1963 Peter Yarle of the band Peter Paul and Mary wrote a new set of lyrics to the song Skewball he thought the tune was Irish. I cant remember myself if he said the right thing there recording was on the b side of their number 2 chart hit Puff The Magic Dragon. tThe melody of this song also inspired John Lennon to write Happy Christmas War Is Over in 1972.
