GUEST Did Elvis ever sing any folk songs? (39) RE: Did Elvis ever sing any folk songs? 23 Sep 25

In my documents I listen to on elvis songs i think it was all Tom Parker's fault on not letting him do folk songs he liked. When you hear the story of Love Me Tender it's believed that in 1940s at a childhood he liked the Shelton Brothers' recording of Aura Lea but got to record the tune but not the words. I think the same thing happened on his 1960 song It's Now Or Never an Ialian song from 1896 that had links set to English since 1921. In 1959 when he joined the army he wanted to sing There's No Tomorrow which used the same tune he was told by the writers Al Hoffman and Leo Corday that the tune was over 4 decades old. From Joe.
