I could never understand those dots on music scores and though there was a piano in the house (my mom played), for some reason I never bothered with it. I wanted to be Louis Armstrong but although the school offered free lessons you had to buy an instrument. My parents couldn't afford £20 for a second hand trumpet (1950s). Later on I got a kazoo and got known that, apart from occasional outings for the washboard. The advantage for my friends is I can't sing and play the kazoo at the same time. RtS
