i suppose as a revival performer how I choose to sing a song depends on the song, The room, the acoustics and the audience and the general atmosphere. I think it is important to be at the venue right at the beginning of the night to observe,get a feel for the place, become at home and absorb the atmosphere, join in choruses support other singers etc
