Shouter | Help: B/D CHORD (14) | RE: Help: B/D CHORD | 24 Mar 01 |
hey guys, i can help you out. try letting the open A and D strings sound with the notes you have in fingering #1. that works well for me in situations where i'm in a D7-ish mood and i want some passing-tone chords for a turnaround: D7 - C/D - B/D - D(7). this progression is enhanced by detuning the low E string to D, so that a powerful root-base note resonates throughout. As for fingering #2, it seems to me to be more like a B6, than any kind of standard D-form. hope i've helped. |
