"REAL OLD MOUNTAIN DEW" was written in the 1880's as an American stage song by Neg Harrigan & seeped into the oral tradition in Ireland. "GOOD OLD MOUNTAIN DEW" was written in the 20th century by Bascomb Lamar Lunceford in the South.
